COVER LETTER FROM 38th BATTALION

Residents in the areas of Winnipeg affected by Exercise Charging Bison have received a letter this week explaining the activities of the 38th Battalion. Signed by Colonel K.L. Wolden For anyone with questiosn for the army regarding Exercise Charging Bison (not Operation Charging Bison, as it has been called; an Operation is an actual military action with live ammunition, and an exercise is a drill), you can call Captain Kevin Fink at (204) 833-2500 Extension 4193.

FACT SHEET FROM 38th BATTALION

This sheet describes the terms of engagement for the 38th Battalion who will be performing exercises in combat operations, "Peace Support", and "Humanitarian Assistance" operations in conjunction with RCMP and National Guard from the United States. Several places of residence and business have already received visits from plains clothes officers. Approximately 500 soldiers will be involved in the Exercise, and and undisclose number of police officers.

Things are moving along with the film festival. We've chosen a name, designed a poster, and opened a website. Use the website to check on the progress of the festival. We need some people to help out as ushers and coordinators for the film showings as well as more filmmakers to participate in our 7 day film making exercise.

FREE Screening of "MEDIUM COOL"
Saturday, April 15th at 2PM

There will be a special screening of Medium Cool for all people wishing to participate in "This Tour Has 7 Days" film making exercise. We will be issuing ID for the participants so it is IMPORTANT TO ATTEND THIS SHOWING. We will update the schedule within the next couple of days so keep in touch. Be sure to email us if you are interested. We are keeping in touch by email predominantly.
